The location that we will film in has to look realistic and create verisimilitude. The setting for the beginning of the film is a teenager’s bedroom. This works well as it is a simple set that the group can access easily as we can film the opening scene of our film one of our bedrooms.
Location
A teenager’s bedroom- We will shoot the film beginning that we are going to create in my (Rhys’) bedroom as it is the right size and is easy to access as it is close to the school. This will allow us to shot and edit parts of the film quickly using the schools ‘Final Cut Pro’ editing software.
In the film there is going to be a flashback. This will be filmed in a school playground as it will show realism within the film. This is also accessible at all times as we can use our school playground when filming.
Time
The time in which we shoot our film opening is important, as we need the set to be as quiet as possible in order to build the tension within the film. The time in which the set that we are using will be the quietest is 10am-2pm as it is in the middle of the day, which means that most people will be at work. This will also be a great time to film as it is in school time.
We will shoot the flashback at 1:05 this is when the time in which we start lunch. This will mean that everyone from our school will be on the playground which will create verisimilitude.
Date
The date in which we film will be Monday 15th March as we have access to both locations in which we need to film. This will also give us time to plan, and arrange different props that we need to create verisimilitude within the scene.
